Perhaps my post wasn't too clear in the message. The person who contacted me was from a Y-DNA test, he had a 37 marker test. My result was from the 1st phase of my testing, a 12 marker test. We matched on my 12 markers, but as I understand it that isn't a good comparison...I responded to him stating the difference and that none of his surnames were familiar to me in my research.

The mtDNA matches to this point number 841, I have heard from no one on that list of matches. BTW, at least 95% of those listed matches are female, I guess men aren't doing the mtDNA in the numbers that thought.

Yes, this is some very exciting stuff, but I need to read more before I can get 'comfortable' enough to discuss my results with my matches. Both Y-DNA & mtDNA.
