My matrilineal test from African Ancestry came back as a 100% match with the Tikar, Mafa, and Kotoko people of Cameroon. My wife's matrilineal test came back as a 100% match with the Bamileke people of Cameroon. We both live in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (a small country with a population of 110,000 in the southern Caribbean) and as far as we know we are the first people from our country to trace our roots back to Afrika using the DNA method. We are planning to visit Cameroon within the next 2 years and would love to coordinate with others who have recently traced their ancestry and plan to go there.
