It IS confusing !!

What I was asking tho' is about the other guy. Did he also test only 12 markers and you guys were a 12/12 match or did he test 24, 25 or more markers and you guys matched on his first 12? That's what I meant to say (altho it's probably not any clearer).

A good place to troll for questions like this if you have time to spare and can suffer a lot of tech-speak, is the GENEALOGY-DNA-L list. I mostly lurk but I've learned an awful lot . . . well, at least I've gone from zero to some comprehension. Warning it's a very heavy traffic list.

Keep us posted. Curious about your Hap I, whether you'll end up I1c (FTDNA's I2) like Dad.
