Re: Races in China
In Response To: Races in China ()
The recent discovery of the Caucasian mummy doesn't surprise me at all. I lived among the Mongolians in Inner Mongolia for many years. I saw quite a few of them with fair skin, blue or grizzled eyes and yellow hair. At the time I thought they were the descendants of the Finns or Russians. Whenever I asked them about their ancesters, they all said they were Mongolians. They are probably right. Even Gengis Kan is said to be from a blue eyed tribe. Along the Eurasian bridge, people are a hybrid. My family history said that we were originally from Gansu Province in the north western part of China. In the Eastern Han dynasty (about 2000 years ago), one of our male ancesters fled China to Asia minor (probably today's Kazakstan?) because of a political massacre. He married a foreign woman from a tribe called Qidouling. Many years later after things settled down, he returned to China with the new family. That may explain why many of our family members have fair skin, chest hair and high ridged noses. My mother-in-law's family is from Xian, also in the north western part of China. My wife's skin is fair and she has light yellow hair, a high ridged nose and her eyes are a bit grizzled. Many people thought she was a Uighur.
