Do you know which parent has the African ancestry, or do both?
You could be 99% European and still have African mtDNA. You can test your mtDNA and find out whether it is an African lineage. If yes, then you can test with African Ancestry to try for a match to a specific group. The percentage of African ancestry does not matter for this test. Your mtDNA is always either 100% African or 0% African, nothing in between.
They only do maternal and paternal lineage testing, no admixture testing.
