Re: DNA Tribes New Populations

Hi Tonya,I was reading yor information from DNA tribes.I just left from their web site and from what i can understand. They are very limited. The reason you probably did not recieve any indications of French ancestry in their results is because they don't have any DNA samples from France. However, they do have samples from spain, portugal, flemmish and so forth. Please go to their website and click on European Diasporas. You will see a list of European countries that they do have DNA samples from. I noticed that France and Ireland were not listed.
Ialso noticed that many people who said that they had native american ancestry were told by DNA tribes that they had either 0 to less than 1 percent of Native american ancestry. Hmmmmmmm????????
Inoticed that they had many mexican native american tribes I saw they had a navajo sample and i think an apache sample, but none from the 5 civilized tribes of USA.
So basically ifeel that DNA tribes are giving people the closest results to their ancestry. Forinstance they dis not list FDrance as a result but they did list spain and portugal as the results of your ancestry. Keep in mind spain is geographically located right under Francehmmmm:) I alo noticed that DNA Tribes have only 155,000 samples. Some may feel that is a lot of DNA samples from countries others may feel that is very limited.
Just my observations,
