Re: DNA Tribes New Populations
In Response To: Re: DNA Tribes New Populations ()

Hey Tonya,
Sorry I'm just posting, I've been out of town and crazy busy, but I'm back! Wow, that's a really in-depth (which is good) explanation. I totally get your scores and I think that those scores should be typical for multi-racial people (like my Mom) but the only thing that gets me is that is that it does seem as though your previous high scores would still be high........now........I realize that as they add new populations, that the scoring will change, but like you said. Now you're not sure where to begin your search, with the Castalans or elsewhere??? This is like me too. I thought there where no slaves brought here from South Africa, yet I have Zulu, Xhosa, and all this. I thought no one here was Zulu??? This is sooooooo crazy! I'm really beginning to lose faith in DNA Tribes, though I appreciate there nice long explanation. I think I'll have to email them about my results as well. I just didn't bother because I was so busy trying to get out of town, but now that I'm back I think I will. Lucas is very nice there. Well good luck and keep me posted. Hey, did you also order with Natl. Geo?? I think I've got about 1 to 2 more weeks of waiting to find out my info. I think they're very reputable and after reading "Journey of Man" and the fact that Dr. Spencer Wells is a protege of Dr. Antonio Sforza, I have faith that I'll get exact results and can trust them to be not only true but in keeping with history as we know it (ie., the slave trade did not extend to South AFrica, only southeastern Africa to a very small degree (Mozambique and Madagascar). Let me know if you used them too! I think your search is going to take you to Spain, definitely France (you probably already know of some of your French ancestors) and quite possibly to Portugal too! Interesting! I'm still having such a blast with all this!!! THis is fun! (Even though the waiting bites!!) Tee Hee!! :-)
