What I gather from this discussion has actually me to another question? As we are discussing, the admixture test reflects what ancestral info you inherited ("marbles"). I wonder if your offspring is limited to only the marbles as reflected in the admixture tests. Or instead are there dormant (non-admixture) that would reveal themselves.
As we talk about a brother and sister having the same ancestors but different admixture, it seems that their offspring will be that much more apart since their offspring would not inherit traits beyond what the specific traits inherited from their parents. Take it just a few generations and they could be even more significantly apart admixture wise. If all this is so, admixture may more merit than only ancestors. If you picked up zero information from a distant Native American ancestor but your sibling did, can or should you yourself still claim that ancestral Native American mix when there is no DNA information? It does not appear the answer is yes.
