I have a question about the percentages of the BioGeographic ancestry test. Isn't it a sampling of your genetic make-up and if you test one or both parents--their percentages may be different or even greater because of what they inherit from their parents.
Wouldn't it take more advanced test--price range beyond the $150.00/$200.00 or $300.00 test, to more accurately pinpoint our diverse genetic make-up?
Eample: my biogeopgraphic test revealed 73% West African; 17% European; and 10% Native America. Hypothetically speaking how would my mother; her father; or his mother (my great grandmother) test? My great grandmother in this line--her father was a mulatto and her mother was the daughter of a mulatto and a woman of Native and African ancestry.
Clarification please. I'm not well versed in this area and I would like to understand this better.
