Hi Mel & Howard,

Mel, I'm Howard's match (You & I have been in contact about Abbeville, SC). I'm also awaiting my African Ancestry match, but it should be the same as Howard's. I don't know anything about my maternal gggrandmother, except that her birth was reported as ca 1840 SC. I found her on the 1870 census, but she appears to have died by the 1880. Lincoln, spearheading the L3 Group at NG said that our 16265T mutation is a rare one in the DB they have of NG samples. I found an article that seems to put us in the L3e3 clade and subclade. See the link below. It took awhile to load on my dial up :-)
