Re: Journey to West Africa

there is also a company called National Black Tourism out of St Louis Mo that take group trips. The owner operator is Angela DeSilva. She was showcased in the American Legacy Magazine as the guide for the editor (I believe it was 3 past magazines). I traveled with Angela's Tour group, to Eygpt. She set's up a package for anyone from any state and you connect with the group in NY. The magazine, American Legacy, comes out 4 times a year, and I've found a lot of information very informative. Sometimes Essence has information about Afro American tour Agents. I would like to suggest touring with a reliable, qualified agent, when going to Africa. Get all the information you can about the agent and places to be toured. All areas are not as we are accustomed to. Hotels are not always AAA. Expect the unexpected, things happen. Travel to Africa is becoming more commercialized each year and cost have really increased. But know this, the trip is worthwhile.
