Art stated, "My BGA percentages were 49% Euro, 48% Sub-Saharan African & 3% Native American. I'm hoping that soon there will be testing available to more clearly define each ethnic group in my background, particularly the AA & NA."
I don't know, but I guess I like specificity (Yes, I love that word! LOL), and just a list of ethnic connections without being more specific will not satisfy me personally. Also, maybe a suggestion to African Ancestry, if they desire to expand their service, that considering how our ancestors were separated from a lot of their families due to the inhumanity of chattel slavery, more and more African-Americans are not only interested in learning about their African roots, but we are also interested in connecting with kin on both sides of the Atlantic. I am sure they will likely have to expand their service to test more markers and input the results into a database, and also, MANY MANY MORE African-Americans will have to get tested for people to truly start finding long, lost kin. I think.
