Re: DNA Tribes
In Response To: Re: DNA Tribes ()
I decided to take your advice and try the ancestry by dna. I'm worried that, with my background, I may be just as frustrated with AA as I was with DNA Tribes, especially if my admixture is such that it "blurs" even my african ancestry. I spoke with my father about taking the y dna test, and he was very much against it. His thoughts are that "we are all children of God, descended from the offspring of Moses, and therefore, should not fall prey to the science of mankind which seeks to divide us into races, religions, ethnic and other groups that serve to elevate in the mind of some, one above another"....hmmm - that said, I won't be getting him to take the test. Mom is on board, but I can get what I need from the tests without her direct help. So, it looks like this is a journey I walk alone - no other male relatives that can take the test in his place( either deceased or unreachable). Oh well...:0).
