To clarify what the results your father got likely say, I'm guessing it's something like "100% match to the Tikar." This does not mean 100% Tikar ancestry.

It means your father's maternal line (mtDNA) is an exact match (100%) to someone in the Tikar people. But, don't forget, mtDNA represents a tiny portion of your ancestry, about 1-2% of the total.
