Re: L3 Mystery
In Response To: Re: L3 Mystery ()

Hello,

Your L3 results caught my attention especially since you mentioned a tie to Virginia.

I am curious if other L3's have tested with African Ancestry and if so, wonder what the results are. I am L3 and tested also with African Ancestry and the results reveal ties to the Yoruba of Nigeria.

I put in the information on Mitosearch.com and three of us have EXACT markers with both low and high resolution markers being tested (24 markers).

One of the other two ladies who had the same markers, also tested with African Ancestry and she, like me, also had ties to the Yoruba of Nigeria.

The 3 of us have shared data, and interestingly, we also have an ancestor who had some ties to Virginia. So it appears that someone within the last 10 generations or so, was a common ancestor for all 3 of us.

I only know the name of my Virginia born ancestor, but have no idea where in VA she is from, but we are all communicating and sharing data.

So reading about your ties to VA as well as you L3 designation did indeed catch my eye.
