I would be willing to bet that 90% of the people who participate on this site have heard "A person whose foundation is built with or on sand will be lost with the first strong tide." It might have been said differently, but the meaning was the same. Those old folks might not have had the education that we have, but what about wisdom. I believe that the reason we are all searching is to recaptue their wisdom and our foundation.
