I'm in the same place you are, Carole, trying to figure out how to go beyond the results and use them to illuminate my paper genealogies. What I'd like to do at this juncture is to find a surname project to try and make a match with descendants of my GF's putative owner (and father). If not a match then I want to disprove any connection so I can move on.

I also submitted a relative's mtDNA results to www.mitosearch.org and received one match....ME! Don't think the database has a lot of African lineages just yet.
