I think we should continue this discussion off line. This is not the place for this discussion. E-mail me and I will provide my thoughts. As to knowing history, we should first understand history and evaluate if the history we are being told is correct or not. PBS has a series that address this qustion using a scientific approach. My brother-in law who has his PhD in African & African-American Studies has similar thoughts as you. But recently he has been interested, in such things, as the impact of weather, economics, spin, and migration patterns on history. This things are written, but not written as a part of our history. My final questions to you until I receive your e-mail is: Why has our economic position, as a percentage of the GNP, remained the same as it was in 1870? We have owned property, made money, became "educated", but it seem as if we have not progressed. Why? Joe
