Pat,

I'm sorry I misread your message. I thought you wrote that the Delavallades were from Plaquemines Parish instead of Plaquemine, Louisiana. Iberville Parish courthouse staff is very friendly.
Question: Have you begun looking in successions of the Delavallades (white) for slaves? Or were the women thet were with slaves of theirs?

I know a Ms. Lilie DeLavallade who is a substitute teacher at Xavier Prep and I used to know a Josef Delavallade.
