My ancestor's[Francois BIROT] first wife was a woman named Charlotte LAVAUD/LAVEAUX while he was living in New Orleans. They had twins, Louise and Francois BIROT,who were born in 1819. I am curious to know whether or not anyone has done any genealogy on the fpoc LAVEAUX or LAVAUD family of New Orleans? I am wondering if Charlotte LAVAUD fits into a particular group. She could even be related to the famous Marie LAVEAU.
