Scrapbooking Crop
![]() I had the pleasure of being invited to a scrapbooking crop, which is a gathering of folks who bring all their scrapbooking materials, share , instruct, and encourage the hobby of creating pages that tell a story in photos, words and art. The hostess who is a fellow "afrigeanian" welcomed myself and 5 other ladies into her home on a Saturday morning. We were greeted with gifts of die cuts, snow scene paper and a mailbox(which I plan to give my mom once I decorate it and call it notes from Lavaca county) I was in awe as I flipped through the albums of their lives, some were of current events, vacations, themes and other were of ancestors and family history. All were very patient and understanding of my novice questions. I learned new techniques, methods and realized I need to buy more paper and the correct kind of glue :-) There was lunch and dinner for those who stayed (potluck) and my favorite cheesecake! I have added the link to 2 of the pages I have completed. My goal is 12 pages. Anyone else finished pages to share or started organizing your President Obama pages , which will be my next task. The photo is an example of the scrapbook crop hostess's artistic work
