Making a memory quilt
By:STG

Here's another way to capture and share those genealogical/historical family finds. Take scrapbooking another step and create a quilt or involve family members in creating a family quilt. If there is a quilter in the family it is a way of passing on the skill.

The quilts can represent anything of your choosing. A family tree, a fifieth anniversary,a wedding, a special birthday, school memories, etc.

The material used could have some significance to the quilt or just use new fabrics.

Use photo transfer paper to transfer images to fabric squares ready to be assembled as you like.

See if your local library has or will borrow a memory quilting book for you.

Happy sewing!
