Oh, just wanted to add: thanks for the tip about counting. I hadn't thought of that. Right now I'm not even counting--just doing. I have no pattern, I'm just practicing rows right now.

What I like about crocheting thus far:
1) it is so mistake-friendly: just pull it out the section where you've made a "mistake" and do over. Though I can imagine that this is not as easy in a project where one is counting.

What I am having a challenging time with thus far:
1) holding my hands correct--I'm pretty certain I'm not holding them correct. I'm right-handed. In fact, my left hand sort of helps my right hand to "cheat" when I am trying to pull the yarn back through small holes to make my stitches.
