Re: I'm making an Election Scrapbook.

Wow, Stephanie S., sounds like you got it together! I also have begun a scrapbook, but not just for the Election Day. It's going to cover the next 8 (yes, EIGHT) years of his presidency. Drats that I forgot my camera on Election Day but I am going to photograph the building where my youngest son and I voted anyway because it will be historic someday. I want to capture how it looks right now.

Also, I am awaiting arrival of a special Election Day newspaper edition and commemorative package put out by a San Francisco newspaper. I ordered 5 (LOL). But never plan to open them and will give at least one to my Mom. She said she missed getting a copy of a paper that day because they were sold out everywhere where she lives.

A woman was on the PBS show recently with a well-maintained scrapbook from the Civil War days that one of her ancestors had put together and passed down through the generations. It was remarkable and contained a lot of very interesting things that are normally not seen when we see anything about the Civil War on a documentary or something. Her ancestor knew that someday those photos and newspaper articles would be important to history. Not only did he have photos of Jefferson Davis and Ulysses Grant in the scrapbook, he got them to sign them!

Well, good luck to you on your scrapbook and thank you for some good tips and ideas.
