Edgefield South Carolina has a lots of Afro-American history in their local cemeteries. I have visited church cemeteries as follows: Shaws Creek Baptist Church (Trenton); Pine Hill Baptist Church (Johnston); Mt Cannan Baptist Church (where renowned church founder Alexander Bettis/family is buried); Piney Grove Baptist Church; Mt Pleasant Baptist Church etc. Many people from New York City, Queens, NY and Long Island families originated from Edgefield
