African American Cemeteries Forum

Two more cemeteries in Georgia

Hello, I am so happy that I came acros your forum, I know of four cemeteries in Rome, Georgia that you might consider adding to your list.
Plainville Cemetery in Calhoun, Gordon County
Oakland Cemetery in Rome, Floyd County
Pleasant Grove Cemetery I believe it was founded in the early 1800's, I do know some of my family were involved in creating this cemetery.
Myrtle Hill loctated in Rome, Floyd County
in all of these mentioned cemeteries my ancestors rest, through many years of investigation I have found them except for a few but at least I know where they lay and are at peace.
I wanted to share this with you in the hope that you might add these places to your list so that others may have the information , it's possible that their loved ones are buried at any one of these cemeteries.

Regards,
Virginia King
