When/where was he born, and when/where did he die?
What were his parents' names?
Whom did he marry (including maiden name)?
What were the names of his children?
Was he ever in the military?
What was his occupation?
Which census records (if any) have you found him in?

How far have you gotten on your research on him? That is, do you have a death certificate, obituary, or social security death index listing for him?
