Buried in this cemetery are maternal great-great-great grandparents of this poster.

Listed on FindAGrave as P. Allen..this is Peter Allen (1820-1877) and there is a marker at his gravesite for his service with the USCT's during the Civil War. His wife, Elizabeth (Walden) Allen (1825-1874) has an in-ground marker beside her husband Peter.

This cemetery has not been used since the very early 1900's and there are only a few visible markers. The area is maintained by the Van Buren Township Trustees of Shelby County, Ohio.
