UAB's African-American Studies department and the Black Student Awareness Committee (BSAC) co-sponsored the Shadow Lawn Project lecture on Thursday night. The lecture was held in the HUC boardroom from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Miquelle Fields-Jones, CEO of Perseverance Writers Group, LLC, was the featured speaker at the event.
