Please be advised that there is currently no new information to relate regarding the status and future of Frederick Douglass Cemetery.

In an effort by the Friends of Abandoned Cemeteries to keep you informed, we have scheduled an OPEN HOUSE at Frederick Douglass Cemetery which will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2009 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the CEMETERY.

Hopefully we will have an update on the status and future of the site, but if not, we cordially invite you for an Open House and visit to the cemetery. The Open House will provide family descendents the opportunity to locate family plot information, visit family grave sites and meet with others in an informal setting.

Friends of Abandoned Cemeteries will erect a tented area and provide refreshments. The cemetery office has working restrooms.

This notice may be updated if information becomes available, otherwise we look forward to seeing you again on Thursday, May 14th between 11 a.m. and closing at 3 p.m. No rain date has been scheduled at this point, but may be as we get closer to May 14th.
