I am searching for my Paternal Grandmothers grave site. Barbara Arnold Henderson was killed in an automobile accident on her way the West Memphis Arkansas on a bridge in 1938 she was the only fatality. My father was only three years old.My paternal Greatgrandmother Mary Whitmire and her husband Isiah Whitmire assumed custody of my father Kendall P. Henderson Sr. I was able to locate where Isiah was buried (Mt. Carmel Cemetery he died in 1944)I also found a death record for Isaih's first wife(Blanche Whitmire) she died in 1928 and she was also buried in the MT Carmel Cemetery. I can not find any death records for Barbara Arnold Henderson. and I am trying to make a connection with any Henderson's. After Isaih died my Father and his Grandmother migrated to Los Angeles ca. he had no contact with his father. I am aware that there are a lots of Henderson's buried at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. I have heard that the cemetery has had lots of problems with the upkeep of the cemetery is there a fund to preserve it or has the state tken control?
