Have you tried talking to your grandfather or even your parents to find out any info? Did he always live in MS? Have you tried looking at the census for that state? It is best to start with what you know and work your way back. Have you any idea who his parents were? Is he old enough to have been listed on the 1920 census? If so, find him there and work back to 1910, 1900, etc. Good luck.
