Guide To British West Indian Archives Material, For the History of the United States by Herbert C. Bell and David W. Parker, Carnage Institute of Washington, 1926
Both list tons of slave records, plantation, slave ships, the history of the islands and the Europeans who colonize and eventually became slaveholders, also mortgages, civil wars, deed, wills, diaries, slave revolts, ships cargoes (slaves), captions and host of other records of all Caribbean Islands, including South America, Puerto Rico and several lesser known Islands and also who get a peek of the British Monarch and other royal subjects and how they conducted the affairs of the Caribbean and the slave trade. A great many of the records are spread all over Great Britain in the various museums, college, public record offices and other organizations. Also there is some mention of southern states in USA.
for example in the first book: In the Bristol Record Office, Council House, Bristol, England James H. Morgan Mortgage of Slaves in Jamaica, 1778
