Hmmm. Interesting question, Celeste. Did you have a specific destination in mind? I am wondering if there may be records of Americans who registered at consulates at the destination that might be helpful, or lists of arrivals in newspapers there (rather than passenger lists of people leaving a certain port to go there). Have seen extracts of a few of both of those types of documents, as well as some passenger lists, but none specifically for persons boarding in the mid-Atlantic areas. At that time period, they may have stopped over in New Orleans, and there are a few outgoing lists from New Orleans to the Caribbean, I think. Perhaps someone else may shed more light on this for us? I am sure you are not the only one who would like to know about this.
