Does anyone know if this Special Interest Group of the Jefferson Genealogical Society (Metarie LA) is still cooking on the front burner? It was an EXCELLENT group for helping researchers connect with their West Indian heritage. Originally set up for researching Haitian connections, by 1997 (when I last was in contact with them) they had expanded their coverage to include many if not most other islands.
