We have an oral history of a Carlotta BOWEN, somehow related to our Sarah Jane HOLDIP, who emigrated to Trinidad from Barbados before 1912, taking her young blind son with her. Perhaps Carlotta was an aunt??

(Sarah's mother was Sarah Elizabeth BOWEN and is believed to have been the widow of a Mr. BABB prior to her mrg to Samuel Fields HOLDIP 9 July 1882. Witnesses to the mrg were Samuel James BABB and B. LEACOCK.)
