I have a copy of the 20th Anniversary Souvenir Journal of the Carlisle Cricket Club, dated 11 Nov 1949, Broadway Casino. In addition to the club history and ads taken out by various individuals and groups, there is also a page describing New Personalities in the group, a cute page re-naming the ladies of the Ladies Auxiliary (the Lioness, the Busy Bee, etc), as well as photos of the Ladies Auxiliary and the new Carlisle Rovers Soccer Club! (The cricketers called themselves the Carlisle Colts, and they won the Greater New York championship in 1949.)
Officers in 1949 were: President- Dudley E. Barrow; Vice President- Clarence Lashley; Secretary- Evan O. Mapp; Treasurer- Howard E. [Evelyn] Griffith; Recording Secretary- Lawrence Suttle; Team Captain- Orlando Griffith. The Executive Committee consisted of: Dudley Barrow, Clarence Lashley, Seymour Griffith, Dr. C.A. Gittens, Howard E. [Evelyn] Griffith, Cuthbert P. Carter, George R. Haynes, Alfred V. Powell and Evan O. Mapp. (More to come)
