Enslaved Puerto Rican Ancestors
By:Oquendo <Show E-Mail>

Hi all. I have researched three lines of slave ancestors that eventually merged to produce paternal grandmother and syblings. Oldest records I have are baptism records 1800 from one line and 1805 baptism/1812 marriage from another. Third line was a surprise, was looking for free persons of color when I came across death certificate of a freed ancestor. All are Church records from neighboring towns (Vega Baja and Manatí in northern shore towns west of San Juan and east of Arecibo). Was searching to see if there were any places like this one in Spanish. Thank you for a great site
