I believe there are two 'happy' customers the RGD has managed to sort out, however IN THEIR OWN WORDS they have only been satisfied AFTER, complaining in writing and telephoning Jamaica on many occasions. My only question is Why? Why should every customer have to do that? Regardless of where we are in the world, Why should we have to beg for our money back after THEY have consistently failed to deliver, or beg for a service that we should have received in the first instance?
It is high time we stopped trying to revive this lifeless dog. Not even an infusion of ‘Liquid of Life’ could make its eyes roll. The RGD is manned by personnel who do not have an inkling about customer service or etiquette and show no commitment to doing so. Their Mission Statement is a sham, they have failed customers time after time by not adhering to their own declaration.
I have found it quicker, unproblematic and less expensive to fly to Jamaica, travel to the Spanish Town Office, search for what I want, pay for the certificate, and then fly home. I do not have the time or the financial resources to leave it in their worthless hands. If I was alone in my experience I would put it down to a glitch in the system, but after countless others have experienced the same, I put it down to the RGD’s negligence, a major malfuntion.
The dog needs an autopsy to confirm how and when it died. We need a new beast, a stronger one, one that is equipped to work and work damn hard. Work at getting back the respect that died when the dog fell into unconsciousness, its bark as a puppy was forceful but as an adult, its bark became a whimper and its bite, toothless.
A dog, whether it be a guide or a guard dog is useless if it's dead.
