For early Haitian records, the website suggested in Peter Carr's Journal is 'Association Genealogie d'Haiti'. Instructions and information is in English and French. They do have databases; only members have full access to these, but you can view the indexes... might be worth joining this Archive if you have Haitian/St. Domingue ancestry. Check it out !!
