My grandfather was born in Bardados way back in 1900.(not sure on date)He came to New York in 1917. From what I remember he came from a large family that had quite a plantation near Bridgetown. His father was a white, botanist-scientist and his Mom a native (dark skinned). I too am trying to trace my roots. I did have the fortune to meet up with my great uncle back in 2001 on the island. He would have been the last in my Grandfather's family.
