I am currently researching my Lavigne ancestors. I know that Francois Lavigne came from the town of Jeremie and was married to Francoise Marie Populus in New Orleans. There were at least 7 children born from this union, including 3 sons who served with the La Native Guards, (Victor Jean Louis, (an officer), Henry, and Gustave)
