Dear Lee,
I am indeed not surprised by your message. We all have come to expect nothing better than the sloppy service they so shamelessly display. If any other Country in the world displayed this deplorable lack of respect, they would be held to account, however "It's Jamaica, (I keep hearing) what else do you expect?"
We are given priority as we are from 'overseas' obviously as we are all rich! however when our money is taken ..... therein in the numerous cries of 'I haven't heard from them, They haven't returned my change, They can't find the information, They are having problems locating my paperwork, They could not contact me on the number given as there was something wrong with the line..... And so it goes, yes so it goes.
No matter how many overhauls the Department has, the same mentality will persist, however all is not lost as I remember on one of these links that someone suggested contacting the Jamaica Gleaner or the Jamaican Observer, I am sure that they will love to hear that the RGD is failing miserably to live up to its mission statement and especially to it’s overseas clientele.
I do hope the good Doctor contacts you and you get a speedy conclusion to your problem.
Kind regards
Anne-Marie
