Hello Researchers,

I've been trying to help a friend research family who came into the United States from Barbados.

I was surprised to find many folks with both the Paternal & Maternal surnames on the LDS website in their International Genealogical Index (IGI) File www.familysearch.org

Found an early marriage record along with a couple of births....ca 1870's

Also a look at the Ellis Island file found relatives who migrated into the US. I got to the Ellis Island file through the Godfrey Library, but www.ellisisland.org will also get you there.

Hopefully I'm not telling you something you already know and that these sites will be helpful in your research
