Surname was Davenport in 1870 (census records). Not sure of surname before and not sure of which part of West Indies. I just have oral history. Just checking all avenues to see if anyone else has heard of this family. Oral history is from the West Indies to south Caroline on to Virginia. I have been trying to check with the White Davenport family that was in West Indies but no one gotten back to me.
