() Damita, I went over to the session in Stone Mountain, GA today. Put in a request for genealogical research going back two generations ($100US per generation search). That would be for my my great-granparents and great-great-grands. Also asked for whatever info they could provide about the local magistrate in Mannings Hill, St. Andrews, ca 1896 as he was my grandfather's biological father. I have long suspected that my grandmother's birth certificate wasn't genuine. This was confirmed today. It only took a second for them to proclaim that it was bogus and probably drawn up in one of the credentials factories on Young Street in Spanish Town. Oh well! You know something's wrong when your grandmother herself says that she was born in Banes Oriente de Cuba but her "birth certificate" states that she was born in St. Catherine's Parish, Jamaica. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Met Dr. Patricia Holness, the CEO and Director of RGD. And Cynthia was there working the Caribbean angle and preparing for her family reunion in Jamaica next week. Thanks to you and Cynthia for this info.
