Re: [COLOMBIA] DNA RESULTS SHOW COLUMBIAN CONNECTI

Hi Anita,

From the DNA results, it sounds like your paternal, paternal, paternal, etc. line was Native American from Colombia, South America. That's what the male DNA line shows--only where the male ancester comes from, not anything about where the maternal ancestors, even on the paternal side, come from.

Isn't it fascinating to learn that your family oral history of Indian ancestry is correct, even if it didn't say the Indians were from South America? You're right. The real puzzle is how they came from Colombia to the U.S. From my family's oral history, if one of my brothers does the DNA test, it will probably show that the male-male-male-male-male (etc.) line was European. That sure doesn't help us find our African connections, does it? Oh, well.

Best wishes in your continued search.

Regards,
Sandra
