I would like to make a comment yes it is very hard to get through the RGD in Jamaica but to go around and bash Jamaica is truthfully wrong to say you are going all over the world to say those things about them is very wrong if you have been to their office you will see that they are very over flooded with lots of work not well staffed if you are having problems then write to the Prime minister of Jamaica Porcia Simpson and bring this issue to her I went to the RGD one time and let me tell you I could not go through the door the place was so crowded and then you have people up here who want to know their famaily in Jamaica.
Let me give you some history the RGD had a major fire that wiped out some of their records so you have to go to other government officials and find out from them what is going on because like Jamaican motto says "Out of Many One People" I can tell you it is sooo true. Their are people from all over the globe using them to look for their family when I needed my marriage certificate I had to ask a friend who had a friend who works their to locate the information for me.
When I saw that they are doing a genealogy search it was exciting to me but it is sad that they are over loaded with this office also trust me they are not riping people off email officials in Jamaica and tell them what has happened to you because if I did not have that friend it would had taken a very very very long time for me to get my certificate do not bash Jamaica this office you are dealing with is just very very very busy.
Then who knows maybe the person you dealt with was not part of the RGD.
