Re: [JAMAICA] Afr Americans & West Indians: The Ti

Louis,
That's interesting! My Dad's paternal great-grandfather Jack Bass was born in Northampton County, NC around 1845. He, his mother, and siblings were taken to Hinds County, MS in 1849. His father, Thomas Bowden, who was enslaved by a neighbor, was never taken away from NC.

Then, my father had a maternal great-great-grandmother, Caroline Morris, who was born in Greensville County, VA around 1820. Her enslaver John Hebron took his slaves to Warren Co., MS during the 1830's.

My Dad's DNA matches 4 people from Jamaica, 1 person from Grenada, and one guy from Puerto Rico.

Mel
