Thank you for posting the link. All of my FPC and (perhaps) Spanish lines reportedly immigrated from the West Indies, specifically:

Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and one other place no one can recall. Note my Roberts mtDNA results from 23andme show the DR or Brazil as the likely origin.

According to an archivist at the NC State Archives origins:

Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Brazil and Argentina (unmixed Spaniards only)

It should be noted my family largely resided in Greensville County, VA and Northampton County, NC dating from 1734, with the largest number during the early 1800s.

Speaking of Jamaica, according to a rep at Famiily Search the Weaver family (an FPC line who arrived in VA around 1680) was from Jamaica. Also, it is my understanding scores of slaves who were brought in from Jamaica to work on what is now the Roanoke Canal.
